Viral marketing is more powerful than third-party advertising because it conveys an implied endorsement from a friend. It is simply utilizing pre-existing social networks to produce increases in brand awareness. Viral marketing is not about wasting people's time, it is instead about giving someone something that want to spend time learning, reading, watching, etc. Viral marketing is only as effective as others say it is if it is be done properly.
In reference to internet marketing, I describe viral as something that is shared with your friends, family, etc. Viral marketing describes any strategy that encourages individuals to pass on a marketing message to others, creating the potential for exponential growth in the message's exposure and influence. Viral marketing is a technique that uses word of mouth or email to reach and affect an audience. Viral Marketing is so powerful because it is like a train building up speed. Viral marketing sometimes refers to Internet-based stealth marketing campaigns, including the use of blogs, web sites, and other forms of astro-turfing, designed to create word of mouth for a new product or service.
Viral Marketing includes using legitimate techniques like viral opt-in ezines, viral reprint articles, viral eCources, videos, and many more. I've explained some of the methods below.
Viral Opt-in Ezines are another great Viral Marketing technique that uses a very powerful combination. Ezines are a fun way to build a home based internet business, and all you need is some software and know how to create and promote a website. Offering your subscribers an Ezine is the quickest and easiest ways to drive tons of targeted traffic to any website. Ezines are sent out to subscribers who have requested to receive information on a specific topic on a consistent basis. Ezines are content-rich and informational online publications that are delivered to subscribers with permission through email.
Viral Reprint Articles are short articles that you allow other webmasters, affiliates, and ezine publishers to reprint or use on their website for free. Reprint articles are an excellent website marketing strategy, especially if you have a limited advertising budget. These are articles that you write or have written for you, and then you distribute these articles to as many websites as you can. Reprint articles are a great way of promoting your websites as well as to garner some good quality inbound links. They are also a great and easy way to add content to your site.
Viral eCourses are divided into a series of articles and lessons and are passed on to subscribers via an autoresponder. eCourses are the ideal training solution for new and small businesses and are a great way to build your visibility. eCourses are self-study courses that are delivered to your email inbox at regular intervals and normally divided into lessons that contain relevant reading material and exercises to reinforce what you are learning. Ecourses are a great way to build your visibility; increase others trust in you, and to build you up as an "expert".
Viral video marketing has become the "rave" in the world of online electronic media where just about everyone has an entertainment center in their computer. Video marketing is viral and relies heavily on community submissions and social taqging. It can range from a clip of a seminar, a tutorial, a demonstration of your services, to a commercial. Video marketing is essentially free (other than the cost of the camera to shoot the video) and can be a very powerful strategy in getting targeted traffic back to your site, as well as in other facets of the marketing process like building relationships and branding yourself.
Viral marketing is an art, NOT a science. It is an oft-used buzz word and may not be entirely evident what it actually means. Viral marketing is the Internet term for what has been called "peer-to-peer," "word-of-mouth," "network marketing, "tell-a-friend", "refer-a-friend", "send-this-link" etc. Viral Marketing is still the best way to go when it comes to launching a startup product, in creating that buzz, and in getting filtered and quality feedback before making the big bang of unleashing your product/service into the world. It can work for anyone, without spending a single penny on promotions and advertising.

10 Steps to Starting a Web Hosting Company by Russell Blanc
10 Steps to Starting a Web Hosting Company
No matter who you are, it's time to start a web hosting company of your own. Starting your own web hosting company can prove to be a very good business decision. Go through the following steps if you wish to start one.
Step 1. Choosing the platform Unix is an open source program that makes it less expensive than Windows and is more stable environment. Most programs run on both operating systems like perl/cgi, PHP, and Flash. But only Windows can support ASP, .NET, MS SQL etc. UNIX or even Linux.
Step 2. Choose your web hosting provider. This could very well be the most important decision you can make in starting your web hosting company. Make sure your hosting provider qualifies with the following criteria:
- Customer Support: Do they have live 24/7 phone support? Or do they have email support with no way of getting a direct one-on-one contact person? This will give you some indication of how well the company can respond to time sensitive issues.
- The platform and control panel: Does the web hosting provider offer powerful and simple control panel features?
- The company's reputation: See if the company has a customer forum and signup so you may ask other clients what their experience has been like with the company.
- Years of experience in providing hosting: The longer the better in this case. Incompetent web hosting companies will fail within the first year; many come and go in even less time.
Step 3. Set up your web hosting plans and decide on monthly pricing. You will want to offer a range of plans from simple smaller plans, to medium plans, and high end web hosting plans. You can offer between three and four different plans.
Step 4. Choose the control panel you want to use. Control panels vary from very simple and user friendly to complex systems. Chose one that is simple to use but at the same time is rich in features.
Step 5. Develop a business website If you want people to buy web hosting from you, in the first place your site should be of top quality. Spend a lot of time on this. Make it simple, easy to navigate but filled with all necessary information. If you are not comfortable in designing your own site, hire a professional. It's worth spending some money here. Avoid using a template. Have a unique design.
Step 6. Make your site e-commerce ready to be able to accept payments for web hosting accounts; you'll want to set up the following: An SSL certificate, a merchant account, and a payment gateway.
Step 7. Set up a support helpdesk. This is simply a way for your clients to communicate with you about the support they need. Preferably find a control panel or platform that has this feature built in. Also, A FAQ section on your web site or knowledgebase will be useful. You can also consider allowing your customers to call you for live phone support.
Step 8. Set up your client billing. You will need to select some kind of billing software and/or Merchant Gateway, preferably one that is integrated into your control panel system.
Step 9. Create a business plan. Before you start marketing your web hosting site, prepare a proper business plan and write email messages, welcome letters etc...
Step 10. Market your website. While time consuming and sometimes costly, effectively marketing your website is an invaluable tool that will keep visitors coming to your site and improving your chance of sales. You may consider the following ideas: Current business contacts, friends and family. Search engine optimization. Paid advertising. Affiliate programs. Newsletters, etc...
These are the initial 10 steps to start a web hosting company.

Niche Affiliate Marketer: Are You In Competition With Your Guru? by William Connor
So you want to be an affilate marketer. It's the way that many get into online marketing. Seems easy enough...some "big name guru" has spent hundreds of dollars and hours honing that sales page to a razors edge, and you decide to opt in.
WHAT YOU MUST REALIZE FIRST:
But, do you realize, that while you are paying your monthly fees, and trying to get others to opt in to your affilate downline, that your "guru" is oftentimes advertising in the same places as you, often outstripping your newbie efforts by a country mile?
Not to mention if you surf the traffic exchanges, where most newbies start out, you'll likely see that same affiliate offer time and time again, with very similar sales pages, if not identical. Talk about competing with the "big dogs". Who do you think put all those affilates out there??? So to just flatly assert that "affilate niche marketing is the way to go so you won't be competing with the big dogs" in such an unqualified way, is a little misguided, in my opinion.
Don't belive me that you're likely to be in competition with the person you're paying your monthly fee to? I've seen it with my own eyes. The next time some big name guru sends out an offer to allow you to "see behind the curtain", take them up on it. In fact, there are a bunch of cd's already released on this very subject, often for free. Get one, and you'll see what you're really up against...oftentimes your guru, newbie affiliate marketer.
DON'T COMPETE WITH THE BIG GUYS...FILL THEIR POCKETS INSTEAD!
NOT! While some may tell you that getting into "affilate niche marketing" is the way to go so that you won't be competing with the big dogs, it's the big dogs that often are in control of the very niche program you're thinking of promoting.
Plus they're responsible for all the other affilates you'll be competing against. Kind of a double edge sword, don't you think? You pay them a monthy fee, while they take your money and recruit even more affiliates, and then out-spend you in the very places you're hoping to get affiliates from. Doesn't sound like much of a deal to me.
What you must realize is that you are possibly in direct competition with someone that has deep pockets, even as an affiliate niche marketer, and that this person has already been advertising in many of the places you are going to be advertising in...and that person is...you got it...your guru.
SOME TALK A GOOD GAME...AND THEY'VE DONE A MASTER MARKETING JOB
What is the answer? Self-sufficiency. Some people like to "talk the talk" and tell you to join a certain forum to discover something only a few know...well, if you know anything about the internet at all, all that information is available for anyone that wants to take the time to look FREE. Don't fall for the hype.
Join a forum where information is published by top-notch professional authors of today, not a forum that lets just anyone post links mainly for the sake of making backlinks to their site. There are much quicker ways to accomplish this task than by one post at a time in a forum! You won't get much at forums like this other than fallacious advice from people that are feeling their way along, and are also seeking affilates to buy their wares.

7 Steps to Make Your Website Your Client Attraction Magnet by Donna Gunter
Copyright (c) 2007 Donna Gunter
When I started my online business in 1999, I had a website, but did very little with it, as it seemed impossible to get noticed by the search engines. My website simply served as my online brochure and I had no plan in place to drive any traffic there. Fast forward to 2007, and now almost all of my clients come to me from my website. In fact, my website has brought 5 clients to my door in the past week.
My website and my Internet marketing strategies do such a good job of promoting my business that when clients contact me, it's usually to say, "I've been to your site and I've been reading the great info you provide. I know you're the one to help me. When can we get started?" Consequently, I'm rarely in the position of having to "sell" someone on the benefits they'll gain by working with me, as my website takes care of most of that for me. I think that's very cool, as I absolutely hate trying to sell myself.
What can you do to make your website your client attraction magnet? There's so much information out there about online marketing and so many directions from which to choose that it's easy to become overwhelmed and confused Whether you have a website and have been online for awhile or are just getting started on creating your Internet presence, here are the most important first 7 steps you can take to get more clients from Internet marketing and create your own client attraction magnet:
1. Domain that reflects your brand. The domain name from which you transact all of your online business should reflect your brand in some way. You can accomplish this by purchasing a .com version of a domain name that is the same as the name of your business or by buying a domain containing keywords relevant to your business. Before buying your business domain, make a list of keywords that someone might use to find you online. This list could include your industry, your target market or niche, a problem your target market has, or a solution that you can offer. If you've been in business for awhile, it may make most sense to simply stick with the business name you have been using rather than trying to rebrand your business online. I highly recommend GoDaddy.com for all domain name purchases.
2. Basic website. In order to have a website and email addresses from your chosen domain, you need to purchase a reliable hosting account for your website. At a minimum, the services that you'll want in your hosting/design package include: hosting for 1 domain, 5 GB of space, 200 GB of monthly transfer volume (tied to how many visitors your site has), 10 email accounts, 10 MB storage per email account, 24/7 support, and basic website statistics. Resource: I highly recommend Aaces.com, HostMySite.com, and iPowerWeb.com for website hosting.
A very basic and attractive initial website of roughly 5 pages can be created by a web designer for as little as $350. Or, if you prefer to do it yourself, you can purchase Frontpage, Dreamweaver , or download a free HTML editor, Nvu, at Nvu.com and either build your site from scratch or customize a pre-made template. Another option is to use a hosting service that provides an online interface for website design, creation, and updates. This type of service enables anyone who's familiar with Microsoft Word to log in and create content, add images, and add pages to their very own website. The major providers of this type of service include GoDaddy.com, Yahoo Small Business, and 1and1 Web Hosting.
As you think about your site design and navigation, determine the look and feel you want to convey on your site, and make your content persuasive. Remember, people visit websites because they have a problem to solve. Visitors to your website will decide to hang around and browse through your site based on how well you answer the following:
* Who am I and why am I qualified to do what I do?
* Who is my target market? What are their problems?
* Do I fully understand and offer solutions to those problems?
You've got less than 10 seconds to capture a visitor's attention. So, it's imperative that your site speaks directly to your target market and that they get a good sense of who you are and what you offer so that they can get to know, like, and trust you and eventually buy from you. If you're not clear and confuse them, they'll be leave, so don't let them be distracted by pretty bells and whistles on your site. It's the content, call to action, and ease of navigation that ultimately matters in site design.
3. Call to action. Present a clear call to action that is clearly shown on every page of your site. Your primary call to action should be getting the visitor's name and primary email address by asking him subscribe to your ezine or by giving him access to a free information product like an ecourse, special report, audio/video recording, or ebook. In order to do this, you need to purchase and learn to use email marketing software that helps you capture visitor contact information. I highly recommend aWeber.com for this task, as it enables you to build, develop, and manage your online contact database.
4. Client-capturing device. The best way to obtain contact info from a visitor is to create an information product in which the content is so compelling that the visitor gladly parts with his/her name and primary email address to obtain the free giveaway. By giving you their contact information, they have become a warm lead and you can start to develop a relationship with them and begin to market to them.
The easiest way to create a client-capturing device is to simply make an electronic recording of you talking about a topic that helps your target market solve a problem, have the recording transcribed, edit it for readability and continuity, create a cover, save it as a PDF file, and you now have a client-capturing device you can give away.
5. Stay-in-touch mechanism. A regularly published ezine, or email newsletter, is one of the most effective ways you can keep in touch with your prospects. For the greatest success, publish your ezine consistently on a weekly basis.
Since you're developing a relationship with your prospects, the best way for them to get to know you is to let your "voice" permeate your newsletter. Demonstrate your expertise in your ezine by writing articles addressing relevant issues of your target market and how they can resolve the issues. Keep your newsletter short and to the point and create 3 columns for each issue -- a personal welcome and insight from you, a main article that provides useful information for your readers, and an invitation to buy a product, buy your services, or attend an event.
6. Your first product There are any number of types of information products you can sell online. The ones that are easiest to create and require little investment (other than your time to create them) are those sold as an electronic download. The quicker you can develop your first product, the closer you are developing both an effective marketing funnel and multiple streams of income for your business.
7. Traffic generating strategies. Once you've built it, will they come? Only if you start to implement some traffic generating strategies. My favorite traffic generating strategy is article marketing, in which I write a new article each week and submit it to online article directories through my article submission service, SubmitYourArticle.com . I've had my articles reprinted on blogs, in ezines, in professional association newsletters, and in print magazines. After reading my article from one of these sources, the reader goes to my website, signs up for my client-capturing device, and then receives my weekly ezine that I use to develop a relationship with that reader, who has now become a prospective client/customer.
Other effective traffic generating strategies include pay-per-click advertising, being a guest on someone's teleseminar, submitting online press releases, or creating a blog or a podcast. You don't have to do them all. Just pick one and implement it consistently.
Follow and work this 7-step plan and experience first-hand the joy of getting more clients online.

Advertising in Disguise through Article Marketing. by Christos Varsamis
Article marketing is one of the most reliable and advanced internet marketing techniques today. It's a long term internet marketing strategy that requires a daily plan and certainly some effort. The misconception that has been spread lately is that you have to be a professional writer in order to write. That is false and there are many examples of ordinary people writing articles according to their knowledge and personal experience. You do have to follow some principals in order to maximize the effectiveness of your article marketing efforts.
1. Define your Market first.
Do not write about everything, target your niece. This is critical because you can't provoke the interest of all people but only a specific group of people will be interest in what you inform about. Targeted groups of people are the ones that increase your web business traffic and finally the sales.
2. Work on your titles or headlines.
Research has proved that internet users only need a fraction of a second, by reading the article title , to decide if they read the article or not. That means that your article's title must be attention-getting otherwise the reader will skip your article and all your article marketing efforts will be in vain.
3. Check you spelling and grammar.
It's hard to accept but readers are "cruel". When you make a spelling mistake they notice it instantly. Do you imagine what their reaction is? Stop reading your article. And you can't blame them because you probably do the same thing. Most of the writing software in the market contain spelling correction features. Use them but do not rely exclusively on them. When you finish your article and run the spell checker, leave it for a couple of hours and reread it again. You will notice the difference. Another thing you can do is to give your article to another person to check your article, especially if he or she is an avid reader.
4. Articles must have value.
Remember, your articles must not be an advertisement or they will be erased from the article editors immediately. Article directory editors accept hundreds of articles daily and they pick out the blatant advertisement "articles" because they want to offer valuable content to their subscribers. What you can do is to provide valuable information in your article and focus on the recourse box. There you can describe yourself and your website but you must do it in a masterly manner in order to maximize the clicks of your website's link in your article's recourse box.
5. Articles should be straight and up to the point.
Not every reader has the same intellectual capacity. Some of them will not be able to comprehend your technical jargon and idioms you use. Using plain English and being concise is the key to have your article being read easily. In that way you will succeed your advertising in disguise aim and you will have more visits to your website.

Advertising Photography for Online Promotions by Jack White
Advertising photography is no longer restricted to print media or static media (billboards, banners, kiosks and bus shelters etc.). It has moved a great distance now and covered yet another milestone - websites and online media. Today, the virtual world possesses uncountable number of websites and web based stores. And nearly all of them contain pictures.
A website is as important to a company, as any other promotional measure, if not more. It is a window from where the world can peep in to see the company and its activities. It is an excellent way to communicate a company's vision and mission, what the company is dealing in, what are its ideologies, how popular it is and what do the clients of the company have to say about it. In short, a website is much more than a brochure, an advertisement, and a PR campaign taken together.
Therefore it is very important for a website to have the best laid design, the best quality images and the most convincing content. As for the best quality in images, it requires excellent advertising photography. However there is a difference - advertising photography for online media is different from those that we have in print media and static media.
Advertising photography for online promotions need high quality images. It is best to click pictures with a digital camera when they are to be used for this media. Of course, the other elements of photography, particularly advertising photography also apply in this case. But only this time, the photographer needs to shoot with as high quality as the camera can manage and the right equipments to deliver the finest quality work.
Apart from the equipments and the sense of Advertising photography , we also need the facilities of some good software like Photoshop etc. Such tools are required to rectify the image tonal balance and colour balance etc. so that we have a clear, sharp and perfect picture that puts a website on the map.

How Honesty To Internet Marketing Leads To Riches. by Derek Berry.
"Oh boy" I am disheartend by all the fluff and hype and B/S that gets rammed down your throat by all these marketing "Gurus" who promise you riches, fancy cars, homes, yearly earnings, and the list goes on. Yes,We are the suckers that fall for all the false claims to reaching the Utopia lifestyle, well where is this lifestyle?
In my search to finding the path that leads to Utopia, and searching for a legitimite method to making money on line and the Internet Business, I stumbled across a woman called Holly Mann and her Ebook called "Honest Riches"
I started reading her biography and background and immediately I was attracted to this book,it was not just her picture, her age,her life experiences, all of which gave me the feeling of honesty and sincerity: I liked the fact that she was self taught and self motivated and self respecting.
I also liked the price of the book and the fact that she also felt that other books where costing other people too much money. I have spent hundreds of pounds buying "How To Books" that says it will take you to the land of riches if you follow there system, you know what (it takes you knowwhere but to frustration and further confusion) Which leads you to buying more "Gurus" products, and further despair.
I bought the Ebook and read it from cover to cover and was so excited, I thought I must pass this information to you, this is mind blowing,I am gobsmacked by what is revealed in this book, the marketing techniques to getting on line, setting up of websites, seo, research, brainstorming ideas, blogs, forums,ad advertising, etc. The list just goes on and on.
The only thing that I found was being a newbie to marketing I could not understand some of the jargon of tech info. I was hoping for diagrams and some videos of showing you how to do Email campaigns, autoresponders, freeze pages etc.something I could watch how it is all done and packaged.
If you are like me and attracted to the truth, and you embrace humility: The truth is found in this book, and the path is shown to You how to reach Your Utopia, and the step by step method of YOU achieving this over the following months.
There are a myriad of ways to do this that wont cost you a small fortune to get going, and many that don't cost a dime,it's free!!!
This is what Holly stresses in her Ebook, and I want YOU to know that I am on my way to " Honest Riches". http://tinyurl.com/2uquuo
Holly gave me a special download page for her "PRO-LINK CLOAKER SOFTWARE: She said I could share this with a few friends. When you get to that page,,just look in the top right hand corner and you will see a flashing graphic. Peel it away and down load your software.

Newbie Guide to Internet Marketing II by William Connor

Why You Simply MUST Be Self-Sufficient In Order to Survive & Thrive in Internet Marketing.
FREE SOFTWARE YOU MUST HAVE
Before we jump into talking about traffic generation much further, we need to discuss basic equipment needs. In keeping with our subject of managing your own mailing list, you need at a bare minimum to have an auto-responder account. Quite simply, an auto-responder automates routine email communication with your list.
Now there are plenty of free internet advertising marketing software companies out there that will provide you with a free auto-responder account, but as you probably guessed, all free internet marketing software is not created equal. Most free software comes with a provision that you must allow the provider to "piggy back" the company sales message onto your emails, or perhaps a co-registration ad for someone that is already a paying customer. But, if you're just getting started, and the budget is tight, then free automated response marketing software is the way to go. We'd like to make a recommendation at this point: get an auto-responder that allows for expansion of functionality which you will need as your list grows.
COMMON TASKS AN AUTO-RESPONDER DOES FOR YOU
When someone makes a purchase from you, your auto-responder can be set up beforehand to send to them an email containing a link to a download page so that they can get what they purchased immediately. Without that functionality, you would have to respond to each request manually...when you have the time. When someone makes a purchase online, they don't usually like to wait for it. Such is the nature of digital delivery of information that it can be done immediately. And why should your customer have to wait...they've already paid for it, and you don't want to keep them waiting either, understand? Good, let's go on.
When someone submits a question, your auto-responder can be set up to send a message that says, "We appreciate your inquiry. Please know that we are working diligently and will reply to your request soon. Thank you, Admin...etc." Can you see the absolute need for this type of immediate communication? Most people will likely never see anyone from your company face to face, or even talk on the phone with you. Trust, service, they're all the name of the game in any industry, but especially in one where there is so little, if any, face to face transaction.
Now I've just barely scratched the surface with what I've said so far, but I don't want to completely wear you out at this point. I've hope I've said enough for you to realize the need to have this piece of software, if you ever expect to be independent and earn the kind of money so many of the "gurus" claim. They're earning it this way, and this is what you are going to have to do. If you're not willing to put in the kind of work if takes to get a newsletter of your own up and running, then you might just want to reconsider whether internet marketing is something you really want to pursue. You have only to ask yourself the question about whether being a rank and file affiliate has paid off for you or not. If not, then you need to be self-sufficient in order to really survive and thrive in your own online business. Next time I promise we'll begin to get into some of the meat of traffic generation as promised earlier. Til' next time, go get that auto-responder account set up first!

Creating Your affiliate Business by John Farina
An excellent and rather simple way to start a business or add income flow to your existing business is to start an affiliate business. An affiliate business offers an individual the opportunity to become an affiliate, or business sales partner. An affiliate is paid a certain amount of money for either a click through from the partnering web site; a fixed amount for a lead generated by an ad on the affiliate's web site; or a percentage of a purchase made by a visitor as a result of a click through created by the affiliate.
There are two ways to successfully create your own affiliate business.
1. Creating an Affiliate Business Promoting Other Businesses
If you have a web site with a decent amount of traffic, and you have time on your hands to search out some great affiliate programs and continue to increase your web site traffic, then you might consider starting an affiliate business promoting other merchants. While this is not a get-rich-quick scheme by any means, it can, over time, generate a fair amount of income.
Promoting your chosen affiliate business partners can be a tedious process, and can become a bit tricky at times. While banner ads are often the preferred method of promotion by an affiliate business, choose an affiliate business that also works with you to provide text links and other forms of communications, such as enewsletters and email, to promote click throughs. Other promotion options that have proven successful for many affiliates include pop ups, which can work well, but are often blocked or closed even before they've loaded, as well as pop unders, which tend to show more success simply because when an internet user discovers them, they've already loaded and can be seen in detail before they're closed. This allows the viewer a short amount of time to consider clicking on the link to get more information.
While it is certainly possible to search for each affiliate business individually, and sign up for each one individually, a streamlined way that can become very successful is to work with a company such as OffersQuest.com, an affiliate business that works with many different affiliate partners. Companies such as this offer dozens of programs covering everything from shoes to ecommerce solutions, and can offer a variety of affiliate business advertising options, including both banners and text links.
Before signing on as an affiliate business partner, however, be sure to only consider links for products and services that promote and complement your current business and web site. For example, a site dedicated to home schooling information will not do well as a casino affiliate. On the other hand, a site dedicated to marketing and advertising may actually see improved web traffic and visitor stats from an affiliate business link related to an ecommerce merchant.
Another thing to keep in mind is that many search engines, including Yahoo!, may not allow your site into their listings if your site consists mostly of affiliate links. Too many affiliate links will litter your site, making it difficult to focus on your site's content and the true nature of your site as well, so choose only a small amount of select affiliate business partners in which to work. Focus on the success of those select affiliate businesses rather than many different affiliate business links.
2. Creating an Affiliate Business Promoting Your Own Business
If you're a web merchant and have a great product or service to promote, it's safe to consider implementing your own affiliate business by promoting affiliates to join on as your sales team. The steps involved in becoming an affiliate business will take time and even money, especially with choosing and installing affiliate tracking software, but can, in the long run, become a very profitable and viable business expansion. However, the most time consuming step in owning an affiliate business where you're promoting your own products or services is recruiting affiliates into your program.
A good way to promote your affiliate business program is through increasing your own web traffic. Consider reciprocal linking strategies with sites that complement your business or the nature of your business. Links to your site from a popular site not only increases the rate of visitors from that site, but is also a factor used by many of the world's most popular search engines when calculating rankings. There are software packages that can choose links for you, but because they're expensive, if you have the time to look yourself, choose that route instead.
Once you have an affiliate business team in place, be supportive of your team so that they can generate the sales that you need and desire. Offer a variety of web banners to choose for posting on their web sites, as well as text links and other advertising options that are easily accessible for your affiliates. Respond to their communications quickly. Pay them on time. Offer suggestions to help them increase their web site traffic, their click throughs, and ultimately, their commissions. By working closely with your affiliate business sales people, you'll bring them success in working with you - and in turn, will bring in increased sales for your business.
A wise merchant knows that good sales affiliates are rare, and treats them with respect, assisting them with resources and providing prompt commission payments. A wise affiliate knows that an affiliate business merchant wants quality promotion and sales performance for a minimal cost. With these two statements in mind, the only successful merchant and affiliate partnerships are struck when both parties understand these points and work hard at working together, resulting in profits for both parties.

Ways To Market/Advertise Your Network Marketing Business. by Scott Rogers - Network Marketing Consultant and Trainer
This article is in response to many of my readers asking about this subject specifically, and asking what resources to use for each marketing method.
This is a question I get asked many times over:
"What are effective ways to market or advertise my business?"
I firmly believe that in building a network marketing business, that a very effective and leveraged way to do that is to generate your own leads by offering an educational/informational piece or product FIRST.
The masses come straight out and talk about their company, their compensation plan, the company history, the products, etc. and HOPE that a prospect will be convinced because of that. Now, we all know the masses also have the highest failure rate.
The moral to that story: Do what the average networker does; get the results the average networker gets.
You need to be above average and unique. Why would someone want to do business with YOU specifically, when there are thousands of other reps in your company? You have to give people a reason to do business with you by providing them with something that the other reps aren't.
So, above all else in order to get correctly educated on marketing in mlm AND to have access to a professional marketing and lead generation system; I highly recommend you get The Renegade Network Marketer right now BEFORE doing or trying anything.
It's a great way, in and of itself to market your business with and includes a very educational, eye-opening 116 page ebook and a free marketing system. When you purchase the The Renegade Network Marketer you will actually get extensive training and access to the major marketing/advertising methods below at no aditional cost.
Now, for the purpose of making this short and to the point; I will specify a few of the top ways to market yourself and/or your company with in random order and list at least one source for each one:
First of all, there are websites:
A well designed website that is search engine optimized and has lots of relevant content and links can be a great marketing tool for you. If you want to build one from scratch, I would go with GoDaddy, as their templates are easy to customize and edit.
If you don't want to hassle with creating a site or don't have a clue as to where to begin, you can have a site builder company do a lot of it for you. My favorite site builder is Site Build It! They will design a website for you, host it, and make sure you are listed in good spots in the search engine listings, which is a huge obstacle many people never overcome. I have a lady on our team who has only been in network marketing about 2 months, never did any kind of online marketing before she used this service; and less than 2 weeks she was listed well on search engines as is making consistent sales without doing any additional marketing!
Another great marketing/advertising vehicle is blogging:
This is one of my favorite marketing methods because I love to write, and because blogs done correctly can get great search engine rankings and can become viral in many cases.
I personally host my blog through GoDaddy through their Quick Blogcast system. It only costs about $3/month and there is no need to mess with Wordpress or complicated templates. I get more traffic to my blog with them, than many people using Wordpress or using some kind of expensive blogging platform.
You can also use Blogger, which is a free blogging platform/hosting service. The only thing is that it may be harder to get good search engine rankings than other platforms, and to this date, you cannot view visitor stats using this platform, unless you use Google Analytics on your blog.
A method that works great with blogging, is article marketing:
Article marketing is a very effective way to generate traffic to a website or blog, and can also take on a viral form sometimes. If you love to write and can convey relevant content to your target market; article marketing may be a great marketing vehicle for you.
You can even pay other people to write your articles for you or get private label rights for pre-written articles, if you don't have much time to write or you don't like to write yourself.
There are tons of article directories all over the internet that you can submit your articles to. If you are short on time or want to leverage your efforts, I would highly recommend using the article submission software, Article Marketer. It will submit your articles for you to tons of directories without you having to upload and submit them one by one to each directory.
Another top marketing/advertising method is PPC (Pay-Per-Click) Advertising on search engines:
Two of the most popular are Yahoo Search Marketing and Google Adwords.
One thing you want to make sure of BEFORE you put up any ppc ads, is that you are properly educated on this subject and know exactly what to do. If you don't, you will most likely spend a lot more money than you will ever make. PPC is one of the quickest ways to generate traffic to a site, but there are lots of people competing for top spots and the prices seem to always be getting higher.
My advice is to have a ton of niche specific keywords and stay away from the most popular ones because it will just cost you more money and you will have competition with bigger budgets.
Here's a great way that can generate traffic as well, ezine (online magazine or newsletter) advertising:
I have several team members who use this method and get great results. You need to make sure your ad is well written and make sure you advertise in the right ezines that are reaching your target market. Here is a great resource for locating ezines, publishers, ad rates, etc: The Ezine Directory. There are some really great newsletters in here along with the contact information of the publishers. This can also be a great way to do a joint venture with a publisher.
An often ignored marketing method that can be very powerful is offline marketing:
Specifically I would refer to postcard or greeting card marketing. For the cost, correct card marketing can be a very effective way of advertising, marketing, and following up with prospects and customers.
I use a service called Send Out Cards that allows you to send out real, full size customized cards with your own pictures in them in your own digital handwriting in an envelope with a real stamp on them for about $ .93 plus postage, and you never even touch the card! You should check it out, as it will help you stand out from your competition, or even other reps in your company. It gives you more professional credibility and shows that you care about your prospects. It will really catch their attention.
In fact, you can Go Here and set up a free gift account (no trial period or anything) and send a few cards at no cost right now to see what I mean.
Now, there are other marketing methods that get results as well, but the above methods are some of the most effective and leveraged ways to get the job done, and are used by top professionals in this industry.

Domain Name Promotion And Web Site Design/SEO by Jay Johnson
If you do not have one million dollars in your pocket, you might find reading what I have to say worth a moment of your time.
I've bought my Domain Name. Now What?
First a transfer of Domain into your free account takes place on sellers end at no cost, money, time or frustration to you.
After a successful transfer (usually 12 to 24 hours) it will be up to the new owner of Domain to set the DNS (Domain Name Servers). This process usually takes less than five minutes and if purchased from 11J.com I'll be happy to help buyer with DNS or anything else for a smooth installing of a new Domain Name.
The obviously next step after purchasing a Domain Name is to build a web site for your new Domain. Easier said than done? Maybe so, but I'm about to give to you a little of my experience to iron out any bumps on this road ahead of you to web design/development. In fact, if you will take the time to carefully review the steps below you will find earnings far greater than a miserly one million dollars and this I personally Guarantee!
The Art of Web Design
There are two rules that you absolutely must strictly adhere to for success with your new web site:
1. You must have an idea for your new web site from the ground up. This means from the beginning while sitting directly in front of a blank Notepad screen, to the successful completion.
2. You must enjoy the topic of your new web site to the point of money having absolutely no bearing on the intensity of your passion for that topic.
So you don't have the foggiest idea for your new web site? Not a problem in the least, please allow me to share a piece of my experience to guide you to conquering rule #1.
Being brand new to the Internet I did not have a clue what the difference was between HTML and a web site was. Source Code? Are you kidding me?? And yet, from scratch I built not one, but three huge multi-page web sites that I am positive could have sold from anywhere between $500 and $3000! Total cost: $100 per site. Of course, not having the foggiest idea what SEO meant all three web sites flopped. Domains expired and those web sites floated off into cyberspace..
I'll get to SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in just a moment, but first for those that don't have an idea to pursue for web site design please allow me to share the two simple steps to a potential $3000 web site for your chosen topic/passion. And at a cost of no more than $100 for your new web site.
1. Go to www.ScriptLance.com.
2. Scroll through all projects listed. (I have no affiliation with scriptlance, merely sharing my experience to help others succeed).
To steal another's idea is not only ridiculous but also will put one on a path to collapse. But what can be done for those with no idea for a profitable web site is to closely glance through all projects requesting assistance to find a web site to mold around whatever ideas might come to mind. After the merging of your idea into a potential web site possibly found on scriptlance or anywhere else, a Free account must be opened to place your idea in the hands of a designer/developer.
Are you still with me? If so, it is important to realize that most designers on Scriptlance are from overseas living in third world countries. The importance of keeping this in mind is due to the fact that the US dollar has a completely different value in other countries. How much does the common laborer in China make? $0.70 per day? I've worked with the Russians, the Romainians and Indians and call tell you those I've worked with speak better English than me! Communication is not an issue and the value of money takes on a whole new meaning.
(Should I condense this into a cheap free e-book? Maybe so. But hold on, the best part is yet to come!)
If you are interested in success with your new web site, please believe me when I say utilizing Scriptlance will be a mind blowing, mind boggling, and an absolutely wonderful pleasant and enlightening experience!
Before I go any further, there is one web site/school that is an absolute must for web site design/ownership. Memorizing tons and tons of code is just plain stupid! In fact IMOH I really don't believe all those HTML codes even can be memorized! But in order to explain to web designers (those that fix your site when down) problems you may be having, a basic understanding of HTML code truly is necessary. For this education in HTML, please head over to www.w3cschools.org. A Free internet school to help you understand the basics of HTML code which will prove to be invaluable if you are to own/run a new web site.
Okay, so now I have my Domain Name, and my web site. Can you promise me at least one hundred thousand visitors to my web site daily? I'm glad you asked. Because the answer to that question is a big fat NO. Why? Because I'm about to give to you directions to bringing far more than merely a hundred thousand daily. For those that have taken the time to read though my words of wisdom I'm about to give absolutely free of charge 100+ steps to an unlimited amount of visitors (REPEAT VISITORS) with the potential for an unlimited amount of earned income!
I would find it difficult to believe that anyone can start at step one and move beyond step ten. But the good thing about this list is the ability to pick and choose those steps your feel up to implementing.
I talk too much don't I? Suppose so, so here ya go:
1. Submit articles to article directories. 2. Conduct link exchange activity with other blogs and websites. 3. Run a teleseminar. 4. Be a contributor on Yahoo/MSN Answers 5. Create a blog and join MyBlogLog.com 6. Create a MySpace.com account and make friends with your target market. 7. Create a viral report with links coming back to your website. 8. Generate a software product that you distribute free but advertise your website in it. 9. Build an article directory for a hot niche market 10. Produce a useful web-based software for public use 11. Internet Marketing Services That Deliver Site Traffic by Moe Tamani
Internet marketing in itself is a wide domain supported by multiple theories and tactics but not all of them are effective enough to drive sales. The core idea behind any Internet marketing strategy is to create a web presence by using various Internet marketing services to drive revenue and achieve maximum ROI. The question is what are the key components of Internet marketing services and how can they drive ROI?
To understand it better, we need to first identify what a successful online strategy must be like. A fundamentally strong online strategy should be able to achieve the following:
1. It should be able to drive targeted traffic to your website and persuade visitors to take a decision. This basically means that if a person is visiting your site for a particular product then the availability of the product on your website and the customer experience should end with a sale. You can use web metrics to analyze as well as measure the behavior of the user.
2. It is not an easy task to drive targeted traffic to your website especially in the age of rising competition. You need to use certain elements of Internet marketing services to drive targeted traffic. Some of the elements include search engine marketing (SEM) campaign. An SEM strategy further includes pay-per-click or PPC advertising and search engine optimization or SEO strategy.
3. Application of the SEO strategy is quite common but the distinguishing factor lies in the type of keyword you choose. It's important to identify the right keywords that can be used as a part of your PPC and SEO campaigns.
4. Your internet marketing strategy should also include the use of tools like Wordtrackers, which can generate a random list of all possible keywords and phrases perfect for your business. Using a tool like this, you will be able to determine the frequency of search for each of the phrases. Based on the result, you can evaluate the options and identify the strength of competition. You can select the phrases and keywords and test them by using them for search engine optimization and PPC campaigns.
One of the key objectives of using Internet marketing services is to be able to effectively persuade a website visitor to take a desired action. You can buy a list of newsletter subscribers or offer a free download of a software demo package on your website. These are just minor elements that will draw a visitor to your website and help your to achieve the desired result.
Some of the other attributes that play an important role in making the marketing strategies effective include the total design and website architecture. Website architecture will include elements like navigation, design, content & copy and usability. All these elements need to be in sync to help drive traffic to your website.
Let us take a closer look at some of the Internet marketing services tools that are an integral part of any website or online business promotion:
PPC or Pay per click: PPC campaigns have become extremely popular platform of driving traffic. In PPC, you won't have to pay for advertising space or the advertisement itself but you will be charged every time a visitor clicks on your advertisement. It is also known as the cost per click (CPC) mode of advertising.
Search Engine Marketing: Also known as SEM, it is an online advertising strategy through which your online business can be optimized. This is an integral part of the Search Engine Marketing Services and this strategy will use your business/product/service oriented keywords to create a potential link with various other businesses. This will enhance your website relevancy and get your website listed among the top 20 or 30 search engine result page (SERP). A good SERP will increase the number of visitors to your page and will also help in converting them to customers.
Banner Advertising: A couple of years back, this was one of the top Internet marketing services but since the advent of SEM, it is not as critical but still is considered as a key factor. In banner advertising, you have to pay for the banner space. You can also display your banner in another website through banner exchange.
Email Marketing: Email marketing includes mostly newsletters, mailers etc, which can be sent to a group of subscribers or customers and is used to inform them about the launch of a new service or product.

Top Secret- Get Google Adwords Pay-Per-Clicks FREE by Allen Myers
A new breakthrough secret is all you now need in order to get your Google AdWords pay-per-clicks FREE!
A gentleman from New York discovered what he calls an "oversight" on the part of 99.9% of all marketers that allows him to get otherwise paid-for advertising at Google as well as all other search engines that allow sponsored ads.
And no, nothing about his "secret" is illegal - nor does it require that you know someone on the "inside" at Google, Yahoo, MSN, Overture and others.
Instead, the New Yorker boasts proudly "...this is something that I caught onto just before 2000 when there was so much search engine craze running around, and started doing small just to test things at first ... but which I later expanded on after getting the hang of it."
This same fellow went on to start and operate sixteen separate online companies selling everything from pet food, DVDs, children's toys & games, books, software, and sold not only his own manufactured products but became an affiliate for other web businesses - all the while applying his mastermind secret.
Over the course of nearly eight years the New Englander confesses "I've actually gotten over $87 million in advertising that using my secret I never had to pay for ... and the largest share of which was more recently in Google pay-per-clicks as well as other forms of pad advertising at search engines ... all of which I got for free ..."
So powerful is his secret that he's able to monopolize any niche online, and can always secure the top premium spots just above the usual organic results featured at most search engines.
He still has to set up an account with the search engines - but after applying his secret he is removed from having to pay for all the costs otherwise involved.
Again, nothing about his secret is either illegal or robs from the search engines.
One spokesperson from one of the most popular search engines said chuckling after being made privy to this amazing secret "Wow! Ha! This is really unique ... and in my expert opinion it would only serve to enhance and bring more business to us at [name of search engine withheld for legal & confidentiality reasons] and not cause us to lose business in the slightest. Amazing!"
The northerner revealed that in this nearly eight years' period of time since applying his secret he's done well over $300 million in sales revenue with a most diverse line of products, and most recently in the last two years netted nearly $166 million after really "buckling down and pressing my secret to its fullest potential."
Now to everyone else's fortune, the city slicker is releasing his secret for getting an unlimited amount of pay-per-click ads to the general public. But he's not promising any of us for how long.
A bit of an eccentric, the gentleman says "We'll see just how long I can make it available before it saturates things."
One famous public web guru pointed out that although this man may gain economically more so as a result of the publication of his secret "he's already so amazingly rich that whether he continues or discontinues its sale will neither make nor break the man, but not grabbing it for yourself while it's still available could prove disastrous for you as you may only have one chance, and a very limited one at that, to get this."
It is currently available at:

It's in a very easily readable format and is quickly and readily understood and mastered by anyone with even a 4th grade reading level.

Used Stuff: If your business equipment and supplies don't need to be new, buy them used. You can find used items at yard and garage sales, used stores, used stuff for sale message boards and newsgroups etc.
Plan Ahead: Make a list of business supplies or equipment you'll need in the future. Keep an eye out for stores that have big sales. Purchase the supplies when they go on sale before you need them.
Online/Offline Auctions: You can find lower prices on business supplies and equipment at online and offline auctions. I'm not saying all the time, but before you go pay retail for these items try bidding on them first.
Borrow/Rent: Have you ever purchased business equipment you only needed for a small period of time? You could have just borrowed the equipment from someone else or rented the equipment from a "rent-all" store.
Free Stuff: You should try visiting the thousands of freebie sites on the internet before buying your business supplies. You can find free software, graphics, backgrounds, online business services etc.
Wholesale/Bulk: Buy your business supplies in bulk quantities. You could get a membership at a wholesale warehouse or buy them through a mail order wholesaler. Buy the supplies you are always running out of.
Network: Try networking your business with other businesses. You could trade leads or mailing lists. This will cut down on your marketing and advertising costs. You may also try bartering goods and services with them.
Barter: If you have a business you should be bartering goods and services with other businesses. You should try to trade for something before you buy it. Barter deals usually require little or no money.

Money For College Now by Vanessa Rollins
Students find a great opportunity for earning money part-time. Read this article that addresses the need for jobs for college students.
There is a growing trend among college students to get involved with Internet Marketing. It is a fast-growing trend for these reasons:
1. The activity is all Internet based
2. Students work at their leisure
3. They are your their boss
4. All activities are done in front of the computer
5. The amount of money that students are making is unbelievable - $400 - $12,000 per week!
These students are making more money than most people in the workforce just working only ten hours per week. The reason why the college student does so well is because of a lack of competition. Students are more inclined to be Internet savvy than the much older workforce. That is a great advantage. There a number of these types of Internet Marketing opportunities out there that pay out instantly -for example within two days of a transaction. The monies are deposited directly into the student's bank account.
They all have products that have comprehensive packages of software, scripts, eBooks and *.pdfs (valued at $125,000 if purchased separately) and are equipped to meet every imaginable need that a start-up internet business might have.
For example, there is software for making audios and videos and fly-in ads. There are packages on how to make cash from articles and one which contains a roadmap for affiliate marketing success.
Full Resell Rights come with this package, so that the students can make additional income marketing it either in whole or in part, and full instructions are provided for how to do that, plus marketing and advertising ideas.
In addition to the software, there is specialized training in the art and science of running a successful internet business.
For the home-based entrepreneur, this "insiders training" is invaluable. Advice and recommendations from seasoned internet marketers help collapse time frames and make as much money as possible as fast as feasible.
There is training, for example, in proven marketing strategies, auto-responders, pay-per-click advertising, working with leads, aggressive marketing, and many more tactics that saves time and to jump-start their businesses so that they can begin making sales off the internet within just days of joining the company.
Student entrepreneurs are also provided with their own lead-capture page and presentation website that "converts like crazy" so that all that they have to do is drive traffic to it and then let the marketing system take over from there. It's the closest thing I "a business in a box".
There are step-by-step plans on how to get started, for example, so that the student can get right into productive mode as soon as he or she signs up.
A wide selection of advertising methods is provided from which the college students can choose that which best fit their budgets. It appears that those who make the most money are those who do the most advertising!
No-cost advertising alternatives are also available and many of them, such as writing articles and press releases are not only free to do but also extremely effective in getting visitors into your marketing system.
In short, the students are in business for themselves, but not by themselves. There are conference calls and live trainings.
A sale a day is a reasonable, achievable objective as soon as the promotional activities are directing traffic to the student's marketing system. And each sale pays between $400 and $1000.
As I mentioned earlier, there are a number of different Internet Marketing businesses that offer this type of lucrative opportunity to college students. However, some of them are very expensive to get involved in. Some require financial investments which are cost prohibitive for some struggling students. In addition, some of them require the student to give their fist two sales to their training sponsor. The ones that come to mind are "EDC Gold" and "Roadmap to Riches". Both of these are very expensive to get started in but the Wealth Makers are engaged with an opportunity that cost less to get started with and student worker does not have to give away any of their sales. We recommend that the student go to the Wealth Makers website at www.mydailypaday.com -not "payday" but "paday". Mydailypaday.com provides more than jobs for college students but entrepreneurial opportunity as well. The Wealth Makers at Www.mydailypaday.com provides preferred Internet Marketing business for college students. With the Wealth Makers, the students are provided with all the information needed to succeed in the Internet Marketing world.

Search Engine Optimization SEO by steve alfred
With the ever increasing amount of competition on the internet today, search engine optimization has become more important than ever before. In this article I would like to take a look at the most common methods of link building for a website as well as the great importance of on site optimization techniques. So lets start by looking at link building techniques.
1.Directory submissions: Directory submissions are the most common form of link building done by most people to increase their backlink count, which in the long run will help to increase your search engine ranking. It is important to always make sure that the directories are search engine friendly and that you submit your website to the most suitable category.
2.Link exchanges: One really effective way to help a new website increase its ranking in a shorter time than usual is to do link exchanges with high quality websites in the same niche as you.By placing your link on a website which has a high page rank and good content related to your website, your website will not only recieve immediate traffic from that site but will also help your serp in the long run.
3.Article submissions: Article seo is also a great way for obtaining high quality backlinks.By submitting articles with good content ( 400-600 words) to well ranked article directories like ezinearticles and goarticles, you will once again receive a certain amount of traffic while building quality links.Sometimes other websites in your niche might even decide to put your article on their website if the quality is that great.Once again a big bonus for you.
4.Social bookmarking: these types of websites are also good for getting free website traffic but you must avoid spamming them as you could get banned etc.
5.Blog and forum posts: Posting comments to other blogs and forums in your niche can also greatly increase your search engine ranking.Try to avoid advertising commercial based websites on blogs and forums as they have a 90% chance of being deleted and your forum account banned. So if it is not commercial based then it will be okay.
I hope this article review on seo helped you.If you would like to find out more information on the latest seo software tools which can help ease your link building campaign please visit the website below.

Using Videos in Viral Marketing by Jason Isakson
More and more advertisers are adopting video as broadband continues to rise and ad-serving technologies become more sophisticated. Online video advertising is really taking off. Users' attention can be captured and ads stand out from the crowd in an increasingly ad-cluttered online environment. It is true that video formats cost five to ten times more to serve than standard banners and they involve a lot more production and implementation work but they may well be worth all of that if they achieve greater response rates.
Where to use online video if wishing to maximize its effect, is what advertisers must carefully consider. Video to be used on the Internet should be information and communication focused while video to be used on television should be focused on entertainment.
Like everything else, there are good ways and bad ways to use video advertising. Right now most marketers are incorporating their audio-visual content into existing embedded ad formats like banners or over-content formats like pop-ups. Though this could reach a potentially large audience, viewers are likely to be less captivated and more annoyed by these disruptive and distracting placements.
Cached or streaming video on a specific destination site offers the best chance of interesting consumers in brand messages, but it is not likely to reach a large audience unless it generates a viral outcome.
Whatever you come up with, don't forget to make it easy to open and distribute. File size is important, as is the media format. If your viral video has been created for a particular type of software that not many people use, how will you get people to spread it like wildfire?
Also, if you've made a video the impact will be better if you send the clip as an attachment rather than stream it. It's cheaper and, if you're not hosting it, it's more viral, too.

Learn the Basics of RSS Feeds and The Internet by James Murray
What is RSS? You probably have seen this three-letter acronym in the course of your internet surfing. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary; syndicating means republishing an article that comes from another source such as a website.
An RSS is a means of publicizing updates about websites. It may or may not include a summary and photos of the latest posting. But those that provide summaries (thus Rich Site Summary) allow users to skim through the article so that they could decide later on if they want to access the website source. The RSS feed usually contains the title of the update originating from the website. It is also usually the link to the website source.
What are the benefits of RSS? RSS gives benefits to both readers (users) and web publishers. 1. It gives you the latest updates. Whether it is about the weather, new music, software upgrade, local news, or a new posting from a rarely-updates site learn about the latest as soon as it comes out.
2. It saves on surfing time. Since an RSS feed provides a summary of the related article, it saves the user's time by helping s/he decide on which items to prioritize when reading or browsing the net.
3. It gives the power of subscription to the user. Users are given a free-hand on which websites to subscribe in their RSS aggregators which they can change at any time they decide differently.
4. It lessens the clutter in your inbox. Although your email address will be required to enjoy the services of online RSS aggregators, RSS does not use your email address to send the updates.
5. It is spam free. Unlike email subscriptions, RSS does not make use of your email address to send updates thus your privacy is kept safe from spam mails.
6. Unsubscribing is hassle-free. Unlike email subscriptions where the user is asked questions on why s/he is unsubscribing and then the user would be asked to confirm unsubscribing, all you have to do is to delete the RSS feed from your aggregator.
7. It can be used as an advertising or marketing tool. Users who subscribe or syndicate product websites receive the latest news on products and services without the website sending spam mail. This is advantageous to both the web user and the website owner since advertising becomes targeted; those who are actually interested in their products are kept posted.
What are the drawbacks of RSS? The disadvantages of RSS use are brought about by its being a new technology and some user-preference concerns. 1. Some users prefer receiving email updates over an RSS feed.
2. Graphics and photos do not appear in all RSS feeds. For conciseness and ease of publication, RSS feeds do not display the photos from the original site in announcing the update except for some web-based aggregators
3. The identity of the source website can be confusing. Since RSS feeds do not display the actual URL or name of the website, it can sometimes get confusing on what feed a user is actually reading.
4. Publishers cannot determine how many users are subscribed to their feed and the frequency of their visits. Moreover, they would not know the reasons why users unsubscribe which could be important in improving their advertising.
5. RSS feeds create higher traffic and demands on the server. Most readers still prefer the whole update over a brief summary of the entry, thus they still access the site.
6. Since it is a new technology, many sites still do not support RSS.
How do I start using RSS? There are two things needed: an RSS feed and an RSS aggregator or reader. The RSS feed comes from an RSS-supported website. There are also websites that provide a list of RSS feeds of different websites. An RSS aggregator is used to read the RSS feed from the source website. It scans and collects data on latest RSS feeds from the worldwide web.
An aggregator comes in two forms: a downloadable program also known as desktop aggregator and an online or web-based aggregator. Downloadable aggregators may require payment before they can be acquired, while internet-based aggregators are usually free of charge. All you need to do is to register an account then you are ready to use their services. Both versions allow you to customize or choose which RSS feeds to enter. Paid aggregators are usually chosen by more experienced users and they usually allow more freedom in customizing feeds.
1. Choose an RSS aggregator to use. For beginners, web-based aggregators are recommended since they are usually user-friendly
2. Scan the homepage of your target website for the RSS or XML button. It contains the RSS code you need to enter in the aggregator. Copy this code. Syndic8 provides a directory of websites that support RSS.
3. Paste the code (which contains the URL of the website) in your aggregator. There is a space provided for pasting the code.
After you have done these three easy steps, you can start reading the RSS feeds coming from the website. New postings appear as they are published real time at the source website.
RSS and Internet Marketing
The original idea of RSS came from Netscape, where their intention is to provide a means for users to customize their personal homepage to contain links to websites that interest them, similar to bookmarking websites.
The application of RSS to internet marketing was an unforeseen development to RSS technology developers. Since users are given the freedom to add RSS feeds to their aggregators, those who are interested in particular products and services available in the internet can now be notified real time. Marketing becomes more specific to interested people and not a hit-and-miss operation.
Those who intend to use RSS for marketing their products and services should consider linking up with email account providers, (e.g. Yahoo, MSN, Google mail); networking websites (e.g. Friendster, Multiply, My Space, Hi5); websites of newspapers and television network websites (e.g. New York Times, CNN) for medium to big-scale companies. Small-time industries can also look into networking websites as well as personal blog websites (e.g. Blogspot) and websites of clubs and organizations that would probably make use of their products or services e.g. a fishing supplies store can look for the website of their local fishing club for possible RSS marketing.
Clearly, RSS is an innovation in information management in the worldwide web as well as online marketing. We can expect better RSS technology in the not-so-distant future as its popularity increases among users and website owners alike.

How To Get Free Pay per Clicks! Get Free PPC Advertising And Start A Business From Home by Garrett Leyenaar
Every once in a while, a new product comes out that absolutely blows all of its competition out of the water. It is products like this that raise the standard and make it hard to be a competitor. I mean... HOW do you compete with somebody who is getting their advertising free?
A gentleman from New York discovered what he calls an "oversight" on the part of 99.9% of all marketers. It allows him to get Google Adwords PPC Ads free and of course, it also works for other search engines that allow sponsored ads. Those ads are the links that show up on the first page of google on the right side of the rsults. This man has figured out a little "twist" on the system and is now able to override his AdWords Account and outbid every one of his competitors, every time.
Nothing about his "secret" is illegal and in fact, it is merely an oversight. The truth is, marketers who aren't utilizing the secret are stabbing themselves in the foot with expensive advertising and ineffective marketing techniques. The M.D. revealed that in nearly eight years since applying his secret, he has done well over $300 million in sales revenue. And now to your fortune, the New Yorker is releasing his secret to the general public. But he's not promising any of us for how long. And why would he? "We'll see just how long I can make it available before it saturates things," he says.
This fellow went on to start and operate 16 separate online companies selling everything from pet food, DVDs, children's toys & games, books, and software. He manufactured his own products and sold other people's products as an affiliate. The beauty of affiliate marketing is the FACT that you can do it from home, with nothing but an internet connection.
He confesses, "I've actually gotten over $87 million in advertising that using my secret, I've never had to pay for ... and the largest share of which was more recently in Google Pay-Per-Clicks." His "twist" on things will work for any form of advertising, whatsoever... but Google PPC's are just so convenient. Google definitely has a huge market share there.
Many famous "Guru" marketers are telling everybody to jump all over the opportunity. It's sad, though, that many people will miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
It pays to think out of the box. And as a matter of fact, he already did the thinking and testing for you. You just need to pick up a copy for yourself and benefit from the information he has for you, that is...unless you can figure it out yourself. When he says he is "giving" the secret away for next to nothing, that is not an understatement.
And while you're there, why not review the huge successes others are now having with this incredible breakthrough in targeted advertising now made available to the world? There are 20 year olds banking off the secret, why aren't you?

In programs such as Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing, you bid on certain words or phrases and your advertisement appears when a search is made for those words or phrases - usually on the right side of the organic search engine result pages.
It's up to you to determine the goals and definition of success for your search marketing campaign. Perhaps it's nothing more than an increase in traffic to your site. Perhaps you wish to expand your mailing list subscriber base? Double last year's online sales in the holiday season?
Finding The Right Search Marketing Company
Choosing the right search marketing company is an important decision: the right choice can lead to tremendous initial growth in your company's online business and create the foundation for a satisfying business relationship that keeps this growth alive over the long-term.

Paid Search Listing: Google Adwords & Yahoo Search Marketing
The most popular form of paid search listing is the pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, which offers you the chance to pay to have your ad appear when Internet users query for your chosen keywords in the Google or Yahoo Search.
During the initial meetings with the companies you're considering, you'll need to articulate your ultimate goals and whether they're short-term, long-term, or both. It will, however, be the search marketing specialist's job to help you calculate success with information and statistics about the project.
Search marketing is about branding and also about becoming part of your total marketing strategy. If done effectively, your business can reap impressive measurable results.
