The all-pervading message being received from the Internet marketing experts is that you must have your own product. Sounds reasonable!
That raises the obvious question of what you are going to produce?
To start with you spend long hours researching a niche which, when you are a novice, has not only to be potentially profitable with a substantial demand, but also appeals to yourself. Initially, it seems to me, it has to be a niche, which you find interesting. Mainly because it is one on which you have to be enthusiastic and willing to spend considerable time and, indeed, perhaps some money.
Presumably as time goes by and with more experience, the beginner can take a more detached view and set up a system to identify different niches. Even so, I would suggest that the enthusiasm still has to be there, even if it is just to make money!
Anyway, you get to the stage where you have decided on your niche and need a product. One very obvious answer is an eBook. EBooks are certainly not new, but it may be that folk in your chosen niche may have limited knowledge of them. However, access to eBooks is pretty straightforward and they are a great idea for a home-based business. Let's face it, with the tools available eBooks can be made to look very attractive and modern on screen. They are easy to create, fairly cheap, can be developed quickly, and sold while you sleep. The eBook can be finished one day and on sale the next. It doesn't get much better than that!
If you enjoy writing and have the time an eBook is an ideal product to create by yourself. Say no more and away you go. There are some very useful software programmes around which make the task so much easier.
However if you dread even the thought of writing your own eBook, do not despair. There is plenty of help around, for a fee naturally.
One answer is to get a professional freelance writer to produce your eBook; another is to research Public Domain material.
There are sites where you can advertise your eBook projects, freelance writers take a look and make bids for the work.
Here are some helpful hints when advertising your eBook project:
A writer keen to be involved will supply an illustration chapter. Ask for one any way to ensure the content style has your approval.
Remember, a non-disclosure agreement regarding the contents of your eBook is essential.
Pertinent information regarding dealing with freelance writers can be found on the site.
Registration on the website will be required.
Don't ever pay anyone until you have completely reviewed the final eBook product.
As far as the other way to create an inexpensive eBook is concerned then research Public Domain material. A word of warning! Rules and regulations governing the use of Public Domain matter differs from state to state, country to country and this article cannot accept responsibility for any advice in this respect. The material is there and it is up to you to establish if you can use it. To be on the safe side, it always advisable to obtain legal or expert opinion before publishing any work you might find. There are websites, which specialise in handling the processing of public domain material, for a modest retainer.
Then once the eBook is finished it requires to be published in digital format, usually PDF or EXE. Either use a professional company or do it yourself with available software programmes. If using a company make sure they do not destroy the original eBook. The eBook needs to be returned to you. The finished product should be editable as you may well wish to embellish it with your own additional information or change the style to suit yourself. Fees should be commensurate with the overall costs of the whole project.
Basically that's all there is to it. Now sell your eBook and make your fortune!
